Visit by UN Women Türkiye
Having signed the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), a joint initiative of UN Women and UN Global Compact and consisting of 7 fundamental principles, in 2015, Yeşim Group continues to receive appreciation for its work on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Yeşim Group, which has undertaken exemplary projects to support women’s participation in business life and prevent discrimination, hosted Asya Varbanova, Country Director of UN Women Türkiye, and Duygu Arig, Project Coordinator at UN Women.
During their visit to Yeşim’s Bursa factory with a view to seeing on-site the company’s good practices on gender equality, the UN Women Delegation met with Behiç Gülşen, Yeşim Group Human Resources and Organizational Development Vice President, and Hande Kurtel, the Yeşim Group Human Resources Manager. During their visit, Varbanova and Arig were also accompanied by Seyhan Çetinel Çiloğlu, a member of the Yeşim Group Gender Equality Committee.
